If I'm writing here,
I'm probably procrastinating

Born in 1950, the last of the boomers, more or less.
I remember over-crowded classrooms, and stressed out teachers.
I became a teacher myself, and found it a good fit. I have many interests: a sort of jack-of-all-trades, but master of none, so teaching kids made good use of all the bits and bobs of this and that I had picked up over the years. Lots of windows was a plus, one I had not even considered way back then, but now I know I suffer from SAD. I used to fall asleep in my chemistry classes, and never understood why, but it was the only classroom lit entirely by fluorescents. God help me if I had had a job in a cubicle!!
Im retired now, and spend a lot of time on my many interests, at least as far as a bad back will allow. My gardens are full of weeds, sigh. I'm itching to cut wood again, but the husband left the shop full of sawdust and disorganization. It will take at least a weekend to clean it up enough for me to see what I'm doing. Not that I'm a clean fanatic, perish the thought!! (I've better things to do than dusting and sweeping) but my father taught me well--look after the tools, and the tools will serve you well. Sawdust and finishing compounds are not compatible!
